Nature Valley....

Being a lover of cereal bars, I was keen to try out Nature Valley's new Crunchy & More Bars I was sent the loveliest little treat bag, which included some of their new bars to try out, together with some gardening gloves, an intriguing piece of plantable paper, which, when planted, shall grow the prettiest of flowers and a usb stick which included lots of information and pretty photographs. And all in a very functional jute bag.

The idea of the gardening theme is, coinciding with the launch their new range of ' Crunchy & More ' granola bars, Nature Valley have also created a facebook application called 'Gardens To Go'. You can find out about it here by clicking on the facebook link. In the application you are able to create your own miniature garden. They’re going to select the best 50 entries and turn them into real-life mini gardens. One lucky miniature garden designer will win tickets to The Secret Garden Party, 2011  and 3 runners-up will receive a year’s supply of  'Crunchy & More' granola bars. The closing date for entries is 3rd June 2011, so you don't have long to get going and make up your own mini garden paradise.

And as for how the new bars taste...thumbs up from all the Poppins, they really have that extra little crunch, perfect for the children's lunch boxes, are filling with just the right amount of sweetness for me, and a really lovely little cereal bar to eat on the go....nom nom ;0)

I Got One!!!! Bag Giveaway....

Righty you lovely readers, here you go....I went back and as lots of you seemed to really go for the style of the bag I purchased, I got the last one in that colourway. I was chatting to the lovely market stall holder, who told me she had sold lots, hardly any left infact and we spoke about them being quite similar to certain styles, though of course no names were mentioned and as before, I can't think where the inspiration has come from...

Anyway here is your lovely giveaway prize....

You may know what it looks like, but here is a little reminder....

So, all you need to do, to go in the hat, is comment here and say why you want it, no having to follow me, tell the world about my giveaway, or even like my facebook page. Just one little comment and I shall pop you in the hat. I shall get Miss. Poppins to draw a winner in one week, 3rd of June about tea time. International readers are welcome too.

So happy there was one left for you :0)

Good luck !

Edit: Thank you so much everyone for joining in, a lovely winner has been chosen.

Here Is The Deal.....

Right, as so many of you lovelies seemed to have an eye on the pretty bag...I have decided when the market is back in town, I shall go back and see if I can get one....

To offer....

As....

A...

Giveaway....

That do ya!! :0) What I need from you is some favourite colour choices, there were red florals, navy florals, sky blue florals, white floral mixes, no pinks *sigh*. May be a different design, shall have to see what's there, if any left. I would love to get one for all of you, and indeed take orders, but on a practical level don't think I could be quite that organised. So I hope this is a fair compromise.

I shall bob back on Friday with hopefully a pretty bag on offer, so keep those pretty eyes of yours out for my post, if you want one.

Looking familiar? I can't think where the inspiration has come from, can you....

There were many designs, though Miss. Poppins thought this one looked better on me ( am I the only one who *tries on* handbags ) and I agree, nice and summery!

My Make From Mollie Makes....

Many of you shall have heard bloggy shout outs for a lovely magazine, called Mollie Makes that has just been published. It seems lots of bloggers are talking about it, and also that this first copy is rather tricky to find.

Well, we all know how determined Mary Poppins can be on the shopping front, so on the hunt I went, and found myself a copy.

It really is rather a nice read I have to say. Lots of beautiful photographs to drool over, creative projects to have a go at, and interesting people to read about. So certainly gets the thumbs up from me. At £4.99, for me, it would have to be a high quality read, and it really is. Very stylish infact. In my opinion a little like blogland but in an in print kind of way.You can have a little mooch at what is inside here and also if it takes your fancy subscribe to three issues for only £5.00 too.

Do you sometimes see a little project that you just can't wait to get on with, just too appealing to go on the to do list, or become a work in progress. The lovely project that took my eye was how to make a little peter pan collar, and I think is a lovely accessory. Here is my pretty and very pink version.

And I couldn't wait to wear it and it went down very well....I think I am going to make bigger versions of it too.

So a very nice read, and I have to say I am on the lookout for one more to offer as a giveaway on here as I know there are people who are struggling to find a copy. Shall do my best....

Here are some very creative and inspiring words taken from the Mollie Makes website,

"We believe that fabric makes you happy....that if a thing is worth making, it is worth making beautifully....that we can all express our own unique sense of style....We believe in making something just because it feels right....We believe that it is time for a new kind of craft magazine......."

Blogging For Me....

Little Mary Poppins for one reason or another is having an emotional time of it in real life, just life's little hurdles and all that they bring. As I can be somewhat of an emotional person anyway....when I cry, I cry buckets, not just one solitary tear, I can feel a little drained at times and one of reasons I enjoy the blogosphere so much is that for me it is like a little escape, no real life worries here in this pretty place which often on other blogs is bursting with beautiful photographs, dreamy prose, and wonderful, creative, inspiring craft work.

I feel very lucky to have made contact, albeit in a cyber way, with some very lovely people behind the blogs, and even to have met some too. I think about all the lovely cards and little special words that have come my way over the years of blogging....

And I feel touched, I can't bare to throw any of the beautiful cards away that other bloggers have sent. Some even go into frames to be dotted around the house to remind me of blogging and what it means to me. Yes I do reviews, I enjoy doing them and it certainly breaks up the what can be at times monotonous nature of my life...but I do feel my heart is still in it, my soul and for now, however many times I hover over delete, thinking enough is enough, my blogging has come to the end of the road....I cannot do it, something inside me says no, stop! I do not blog for followship, or to be on some bloggy list of top blogs out there, for awards or even to get custom for my handmade pretties. I blog for me, yes, it has taken a little while to realise this, but I blog to just share a little of my life with whoever would like to read, and you know what, maybe I shall still be here blogging into old age....and has actually made me think....I wonder how old the oldest blogger is?

Happy blogging!

Heads Up On A CK Freebie....

When I was choosing a weekend magazine to curl up and relax with, I saw that there was a little Cath Kidston freebie tote bag with June's Edition of Easy Living magazine. With a design choice of navy floral or a navy provence rose.  Luckily there were both choices of bag available where I purchased my magazine.

The bag is about the same size as a CK book bag, and is a pu coated nylon type fabric.

You also get a free copy of the CK catalogue and also a 15% discount available online and in store with Cath Kidston. Well, it would be rude to keep the magazine on the shelf wouldn't it, so of course I thought Easy Living would indeed be my weekend choice of magazine, and as I preferred the provence rose that is the style of bag that came home with me.

Easy Living really is the best for CK freebies so am always on the look out....

New Pink Blingy Watch....

I bought this new watch because I think every girl needs a little pink and a little bling in her life....

And I have to say, I quite like the oversized look and it goes quite nicely with my wedding rings too....
