Ribbons, buttons, candles, tealights, pins, chalk, seeds, spices, string (with a hole in the top of the lid), paperclips, rubber bands, peppercorns, icing sugar shaker(again holes in lid). And loads more, as you can see we use them for a lot of things around here. :)
Hiya, I think I got my pinking shears on ebay. They are very useful so if you can get some you will get your money's worth. I used the pinking shears to stop the fabric from fraying too badly. They are all overlapping, I probably used about 5 samples and any gaps I filled with this pretty green/gingham fabric I found in a charity shop. I used bobble trim to hide the joins at the bottom. That's another thing that is quite expensive, but I use it all the time. I think I got 20 metres on ebay for about £15. It's not professionally covered, but it's ideal for that lamp stand because we don't use it so it's purely decorative. :-)
They are lovely jam jars, I have a white one with a green check lid(I bought it at a car boot for 10P!). I definaetely think I would be popping buttons and ribbons in them. please can you pass on your email address to me as I am making my blog private, your email will be only visible to me so will be safe (thats if you want to come and visit !) x Dominique
Buttons, beads and ribbons. The paint on the linen basket was actually a dulux tester pot of matt emulsion I had mixed when I was still in the UK, I think it has some sort of code on the top, I can let you have it if you'd like - let me know. Take care. Nickyx
My husband Ben's latest jars contain: Seville Orange Marmalade, Three Fruit Marmalade, Seville and Sweet Marmalade, Tangerine Jelly Marmalade, ohh, and another variety I've forgotten - you get the picture! I just write the labels, clean the kitchen afterwards (no mean feat) and then get to enjoy!
Hello Mary, just noticed that you are back! I don't have any of those jars, but if I did I think I would keep crafty bits and bobs in them, or maybe jewellery? What are you going to do with yours? X
lets see...paints I've mixed....pulses....plasters....handy sized needle and threads blk wht grey brn cream...grips & bobbles nd anything else that hasn't got a home that will fit lol
Oh yes I use them for lots of things, we got through a lot of shop bought jam a while back so they're most useful and they look like a set. We don't buy jam as much anymore because I use make it. Oh and I keep all of my beading bits in them - so much easier to see what I've got that way.
HI Mary, owe you a big sorry, just looked on top of the paint tin and the label has rubbed off with time. Typical every other one you can read, but this one NO!!! If you really like it I could paint a piece of paper and post it to you, you may be able to match it like that. Take care. Nickyx

Pebbles, shells at the mo...used them for flowers at my wedding too!
