Sew Darn Cute....

One Pretty Craftbook....

One easy peasy tutorial from said book....

And voila, one plain, grey, simple ribbed vest has now become a lovely little thing, ready for spring! I even popped one of my pink labels on it to give it some more prettiness.

So I prettied that vest up whilst the buildery men have made a start on the kitchen....

Yes I know the kitchen sink is on the floor, but at least it is out of its packaging, which it had been in for nearly a year ;)

And yippee the worktops are finally out of their packaging too, they had been in their cardboard home for months.

So, the kitchen is definately making progress, the space is ready for my little washing machine and soon I shall be making the special patchwork friendship curtain to go around it.

I want to say thank you for some lovely fabric squares that popped through my letter box today, beautiful, and Ohooo so pretty. I shall be thanking you personally too. You gals certainly know my taste. Thank you, I can't wait to get going on the curtain, hope I am not going to bore you by mentioning the curtain all the time, and showing you photograph after photograph of all the pretty fabric squares I have been sent and from where they came.

I can't wait to get making it. It is going to be look perfect and right at home in my kitchen, and shall make me smile every time I see it :0)

  3. I love ways to 'do up' T-shirts like that! I have a few T-shirts with marks on which I want to 'upcycle' with some fabric - maybe seeing your lovely results will inspire me!

I posted your fabric square today, but I don't know how long it will take from France. Not long, I think.

  11. Hi Mary,
Just want to check what size squares you want? Is 8 inches x 8 inches big enough?
The Keep Calm frame was really well packaged - at least one whole roll of bubblewrap and it was sent FedEx. Its this one and is exactly A2 size:

  15. see this is why i wish i knew my way around fabric!i wanted that book for an age but i hate cutting into pretty fabric!i like looking at it,getting other to make things from it for me but cutting it myself-definitly not.not with my clumsy hands.
i went for the scan everything seems ok which is a massive relieve as i was read all the checks they go through i thought there were so many there was bound to be something wrong.
i have an 80% chance its a little lady!!i have been trying to lay off the buying of pretty things as its only an 80% but its soo hard!!

i love your kitchen,i have one of those sinks, they just look lovely, cant wait until i see it all finished!

    love

  23. Hello Mary

I love that top that you have embellished, I looks fantastic!

We are in the process of redecorating the kitchen, a bit of a nightmare with nothing in it's right place at the moment.

We have the similar looking sink, really like it.

Good luck with all the woek. Are you still interested in a piece of fabric for your kitchen? If so let me have your details please...

    Warm wishes
