Roller Tastic!....

This photograph of a pair of roller skates takes me right back to my time at roller disco's when I was a teenager. These were found by my SIL at a car boot and my Master Poppins has great fun skating around on them. I used to own an almost identical pair in cherry many a year ago and really enjoyed going off to the local roller disco's....

Miss. Poppins seems to have the same love of roller skating as I did, although these days of course everyone is wearing blades, much more cool it seems. I am a girl who likes to join in and not sit at the side, so when she goes to her roller disco's ( too young to be left ) I get some blades on and speed round like I am 15 again....

I like spining round, going backwards, joining in with the speed skate and don't care one jot I am skating with kids half  *cough* my age. Is super exercise and when the disco was up, I felt like I had done about 15 step sessions. Having rekindled my skating juices, I yearned for my own pair again, and debated whether to go the blade or skate route. Being a retro, pink loving, sentimental girl at heart, I went for these....

I feel like a teenager all over again, and actually is lovely to spend a little skating/bonding time with my daughter. And who knows I may even teach her a little skating trick or two....
