Pink Delights From Flamingo Gifts

I love pretty, I love pink, so when Flamingo Gifts sent this perfectly pink parcel of pretty delights for me to have a little play with, I couldn't wait to dive right in. Flamingo Gifts offers such lovely, cute and quirky items, including home accessories, party ideas, fun books and all manner of delightful things that one wouldn't normally find on the high street.

Although I had given a little hint to Flamingo Gifts as to what items may float my boat, I couldn't have imagined the gorgeousness of this pretty parcel. Whoever selected the items must secretly know me very well, as it really couldn't have been more pink.

I just adore this vintage style telephone, based on the famous princess style of the 1950's. Its a beautifully compact style and the pink is a lovely sugary shade, perfect for girly chats ;) It was so easy to set up, just pop the line in and then plug the other end into your telephone socket and away you go.

The bell ringer only adds to the charm, and the fact it is a push button means it is compatible with menu options, and which is super handy as most of the company customer services I ring often have about 9 different options to get through.

It has some great other features too.

I have a feeling this next product shall be making it's way into the teenagers room.

The make up bag is gorgeous :)) I love the magicians wand as the 'i' and the fluorescent pink is so on trend. My make up loving Miss. Poppins already has her eye on this so I doubt it shall ever get the opportunity to keep my make up in it, though I shall certainly be borrowing it every now and then.

I am a big lover of quotes and sayings around the home, and like to be inspired in every room I step in. I think this plaque says it all, and features all the pretty things I love, pink, hearts and bows.

A real bargain too at only £3.10.

I'm often out and about and like to grab a bite to eat from the house to take with me. Often its just chucked into one of the children's tatty lunch bags and away I go. Now I have something far more stylish and can be happy to pull out of my bag.

I love the quirky words on this lunch box and there is even a little cheeky "(no peeping)" once you have removed the black and white strap that keeps your lunch box in place. How cute is that.

The colours really pop out at you and although I'm not sure if my snacks shall always be very healthy, I am at least very proud to have such a beautiful lunch box to keep them in. I'll do my best to keep it more of the healthy variety.

At Flamingo Gifts there are also some great brands on offer, and finally we have a pretty pink item that again someone else has their eye on.

Although perfect for lunchtimes, I think this hot pink little number would also be great as a little storage holder for all those pretty bits and bobs, jewellery, clips etc. It would look so pretty on a shabby chic style dressing table.

The lunch box comes complete with two compartments and a beautiful elasticated band which has a Ted Baker gold bow. The elasticated band is really pretty and keeps everything secure inside. Once your lunch has been eaten, you can then pop the compartment back in and it closes to only 5cm, therefore taking up less space in your bag.

I think it may soon start to grow legs and wander off into the teens bag/bedroom very soon.

So, some really cute items on offer and if you haven't visited Flamingo Gifts before I would definitely have a mooch. I have been overwhelmed by the pretty selection they sent and so impressed with the lovely treats, I had to make a little order. The 1p first class delivery was also very tempting and a great offer. Amongst a couple of other things I ordered, I loved this case for our family ipad and at 50% off, a bargain.

So I shall certainly be making frequent visits to Flamingo Gifts, hope you find something pretty there too :)

Birthday Treats And Pretty Things

It was my birthday not long ago, so I thought I would share some of the pretty things that came my way. Family and friends must know me so well as I just loved everything and I was overwhelmed with people's thoughtfulness. Especially the husband's it has to be said. Look what he brought up to me in bed on my birthday morning....

Tea is my most favourite drink in the world and for me you can't beat that drinking it in bed feeling. I felt very spoilt and when the family brought me up the presents, well, I felt VERY spoilt indeed....

Oh just yum! I like to savour every second, so carefully opened the cards first, knowing it wouldn't be long before I would be diving into a lovely pile of presents. Miss. Poppins' card to me was perfect and as I am always thinking of cake, very me....

The presents arrived in a bag ( which I kind of knew I was getting ) and I love it so very much, very Pip Studio I thought....

I opened this cute little matching set of nail files first, so handy to pop in the bag. When out and about I often want a nail file but have none to hand....

Next up was this beautiful Vintage Love perfume from M&S. Oh I just love the vintage style bottle and having seen it on lovely blogger Gem's Instagram a while ago, I knew I had to have it, thank you so much husband for remembering....

I had to have a little CK in there too. When we get desperate I can't believe I actually hand out my 'for special occasions only' CK paper napkins to the children when having their beans on toast or whatever. It is no wonder I am always wanting to restock. So these were a lovely surprise from my lovely little Poppins....

I am forever moaning that I can't work out how to upload music onto things and how I miss my old fashioned tape walkman. What a lovely birthday treat from Mr. Poppins this is, hopefully shall make things easier and he even had a soppy personal inscription on the back which I love and makes me smile....

I also kind of knew I may be getting these converse-esque shoes from the children, I was with them when they got them, they are so very pink and very me.....

So, I was very spoilt by my lovely family, and just love my new birthday gifts. We then went to Wales for a little holiday and I saw my brother, and he gave me yet more birthday gifts, all with a lovely heart theme.  Who cannot but fall in love with this pretty Emma Bridgewater hearts tray. Thumbs up to my brother, and his lovely female friend who helped him choose....

What a delightful hearts inspired draught excluder....

And I am so enjoying what pretty things I can pop on the adorable heart magnetic board he got me....

He knows of my love of CK too, so I gave a big smile when I opened these....

Well, thank you bruv. Guess I better up the stakes when it comes to your birthday, which is soon ;) The owner of the store who I know, found out through their chatting that he was buying gifts for me, and she even popped in a little something too. How very kind, and I just love the pretty scarf she got me....

My lovely Sister In Law gave me this divine sequinned collar....

And these pretty earrings....

So I think you may agree, some lovely birthday treats indeed, and I have been a very lucky birthday girl....

I thought I would also share some pretty things that have come my way, which I have bought here and there and many of which were super bargains. Firstly, I had been hankering after this vintage style limited edition Colgate toothpaste. I searched and searched to no avail. Then on one my jaunts to Home Bargains, I found it. It's not to be used of course, just to look pretty and vintage-y in the enamel mug in the bathroom ;) A bargaintastic 55p a tube....

Many of you may know my shopping habits tend to leave me with little buying obsessions. Oven gloves seem to be the order of day right now, and I can't seem to get enough of cheap and cheerful ones. These were from Asda, in the sale at £3....

Yes yes, I know we haven't really had any kind of proper summer, but I seem to live in flip flops all year round, so couldn't resist these floraly Fat Face ones, again in the sale at £5....

My love of vintage just keeps growing and growing and I really enjoy my time browsing vintage bits and bobs. I picked these 4 green glass dishes up for a £1....

My posy collection is growing well, especially when I keep finding pretty ones like this, again at only £1....

I had to have these brand new crafty items, purchased from one of the stalls at a horse show we went to. A lovely pink knitted tea cosy which I seem to have photographed upside down....

And this gorgeous knitted corsage....

I thought this beautiful handmade bag the bargain of the day....

And I loved these laminated prints that I bought and am going to use as place mats....

So a little post packed with new pretties, hope you enjoyed!

I Am In Love With....

Thank you for all the Fluff help, it is yet to be tasted but looks very pretty in my kitchen cupboard, I love to peer at the pretty jars through the glass as I walk past I have to say :0)

How about a little love talk.

I am in love with my Family, special friends, beautiful pretties and this wonderful Heart Artwork I commissioned from the lovely Karen Newhouse I really love her pretty Artwork and thought I would treat myself to a little pretty with some pennies I make from making and selling my own pretties I really think it is so sweet and shall take pride of place in my ooops our bedroom when we have it all decorated and looking pretty. My new love inspired Artwork is the special inspiration that shall give you an idea of the decorating colours, etc that I shall be using. Karen had a keen grasp of what I would fancy colour wise for all the pretty hearts, and although commissions for me can be a little daunting, you never quite know if buyers and sellers minds are working as one, when I unwrapped the pretty packaging, I knew ours had been, and it was indeed perfect, exactly what I wanted.

Thank you Karen for knowing me so well :0)

Buntinglydelicious....

Well what lovely weather we have been having, I really am a sun lover, it always lifts my mood and everything seems, well more cheery uppy. We have had one or two celebrations here, one of which was my lovely husbands 40th, I always remind him he has a younger model now, to be fair I think he looks quite good for his age, in my opinion he has a kind of Hugh Grant/Jonathon Ross thing going on. Possibly to do with the hair thing, would love to know what your other halves look like.

So, what perfect timing to be sent some very lovely and special bunting from the kind peeps at dotcomgiftshop I think they know I am a secret bunting lover, as I always have at least 2 buntings up at any one time. Anyway they sent me this gorgeous vintage paisley paper bunting.

It really is the sweetest bunting and perfect for any occasion I thought, I couldn't wait to get it up outside on these sunny days, I had a coffee date with a friend and we both admired how pretty it looked in my garden.

I have one or two pretties in the same vintage paisley design too.

There are 16 generously sized flags in total and the bunting is lovely and long so super to pretty up ones garden for a little tea party. And of course anything with pink in it, and flowers, well is a winner for me and super value too I thought.

Well lucky olde me got sent one more too, and this in my eyes is a really pretty bunting. I recognised it as I unwrapped it, as I have the same one but in a different colourway. The one I was sent was this very pretty white paper lace bunting.

I also have it in this colourway, and is one of my favourite party buntings, and have used it many times. What I especially like about the white lace bunting its it's simplicity and classical look, I think it would be perfect for a Wedding or Christening.

And also with the lovely lace affect, which has cut out butterflies and flowers, one can not fail to fall in love with it's pretty detailed flags. I shall be using this to good effect for my 3 gorgeous Niece's naming ceremony.

They live in Cyprus with my sister and her partner, and they are in this country for the summer. Although they have been Christened in Cyprus, we are having a very special naming ceremony here, so I think this bunting is perfect for their special day. It has been nearly a year since I last saw them, though have had a little pop over to see them in their first week over here, and they are the sweetest little girls who can speak two languages fluently and are very, very lovely indeedy :0)

So, any of you love bunting like me, I hope you have yours up, celebration or no celebration, bunting really is a very welcoming, happy decoration I find. I always smile when I see any in friend's homes, of which there are quite some, due to my present giving opportunities ;0)

Thank You and A Billy....

What can I say, thank you again lovely friends for the messages, emails, and comments on my last two posts. It means more to me than you shall ever know. It has also made me think about friendships formed on here, and how they really do affect people's lives in a positive way. I am wobbly at the moment, and shall be for a little while longer but I know you are there to help, guide and pick me up when it all gets too much. One thing that upset me very much when I lost Joshua is people, understandably, not being able to talk about it with me. Not knowing what to say for fear of upsetting me. I so wanted to hear his name, I had given birth, I wanted to tell people. Of course, what do you say to someone who has walked out of hospital leaving their sweet baby behind, never to have felt their sweet hot breath against their face. So talking about Joshua with you all, has, and always shall be, very cathartic. I shall carry your beautiful words about him with me forever.

Many of my messages were from lovely blogging ladies, who, like me had lost their own precious sweet babies, or knew of friends and family who had, and also some who were pregnant and wanted to let me know a hug was sent my way. I am truly blessed to have come into contact with you all. Hopefully my sweet Joshua's spirit shall be with you a little while and hopefully I have done good by talking about him.

So what has little olde Mary Poppins been upto.

Take one Billy....Hmmmm, nice, but not really doing it for me....

Ahhh, that is better....

Very pretty....and nearly there.

Lovely tins from Tesco, thanks for the heads up Elaine :0)....for my ribbons and things....

Perfect, now I have somewhere pretty to store some of my (spare ;0) fabric... Let me know if any of you have prettied up your Billy's. I would love to see them.

I shall leave you with a photograph of myself....Thank you SO much dearest friend for my lovely surprise gift. She/I has pride of place in my home, we all love her. You have touched me with your thoughtfulness and kindness.

Hugs, and spit spot everyone....
